2021 CIFIT to offer improved online platform

The 2021 China International Fair for Investment and Trade, also known as CIFIT, will be hosted online and offline again in September, according to Chen Haoying, director of the Xiamen municipal bureau of convention and exhibition.
Chen, also the deputy director of the conference affairs department of CIFIT's organizing committee, said that efforts will be made to further improve the online event.
"Currently, the online CIFIT has gathered 31 Chinese provinces, cities and municipalities and 38 countries and regions," he said.
Chen added that the online platform will display investment environments, industrial information and policies as well as key investment projects.
He welcomed more countries and regions to showcase their investment environments via the online platform.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, CIFIT is the only international event in China focusing on bilateral investment promotion.
The 2021 edition of the event is scheduled to take place in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Sept 8-11. The event will revolve around the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the Belt and Road Initiative, and bilateral and multi-lateral regional cooperation to promote two-way investment, release authoritative information, and explore investment trends.
The 2021 International Investment Forum, a major CIFIT activity, is expected to feature government officials, renowned economists and representatives from Global Fortune 500 companies, who will voice their opinions on global investment trends.
In addition, exhibition areas will be set up for emerging industries, including artificial intelligence, environmental protection and biotechnology during the four-day event.
