Telecom day showcases industry development
The 2021 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day kicked off in Zhengzhou, Henan province, on Monday. Themed as "Accelerating Digital Transformation in Challenging Times", the conference covers an exhibition and conference area of over 1,200 square meters, with an estimated 2,000 visitors participating during this two-day event.
Experts, scholars and enterprise representatives of China's telecommunications industry have gathered together at the conference to discuss the development and future prospects of the industry.
The World Telecommunication and Information Society Day has been celebrated annually every May 17 since 1969 to mark the founding of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865, according to the official website of ITU.
