Tianjin city is being helped by a digitalized empowered brain to operate in a smarter and sounder way.

A wall-sized screen in the Tianjin Big Data Center shows real-time data of city operations in areas such as traffic, medical and governmental services.

It is part of the "City Brain" project which works metaphorically as a central neural system to boost the city's urban management and public services.

At present, it coordinates 14 governmental departments including the market supervision committee and governmental service departments in synthesizing their efforts to improve traffic conditions and government services and make medical services more convenient.

The city employs digital technologies including big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing to facilitate vaccinations. According to statistics, to date over 6.25 million people in the city have had their first shot; they can expect to be given their second in an orderly manner with the help these digitalized helpers.

With a new high of 10 million registrations, Jinxinban, an upgraded version of the Tianjin government administration platform that supports online administrative licensing, public services and other services covering establishment changes and qualification certification, has been integrated with the Brain.

More applications are being explored in the city to help it think deeply and benefit the general public and enterprises.
