A full-scale ice-making was recently carried out at the National Speed Skating Oval for the first time in Beijing.

As the only newly built ice sports venue in the competition zone for the Beijing 2022 Olympics, the National Speed Skating Oval boasts an ice surface of around 12,000 square meters. Dubbed the "Ice Ribbon" due to its slick exterior lighting beams, the oval can seat 12,000 spectators, making it the largest speed skating venue in Asia.
