ARTS ARISE
China's live performance industry generated a total of 860 million yuan ($132.5 million) during the five-day May Day holiday, the China Association of Performing Arts said. Between May 1 and 5, about 14,000 performances were staged nationwide, attracting audiences of more than 6 million, said the association.

InterContinental Dalian and car rental company CAR Inc signed a strategic cooperation agreement last week. The move will enable the reservation and return of rental cars at the hotel in Dalian, Liaoning province, providing convenient travel experiences, according to the hotel. The hotel has launched the first package service from the collaboration, which is comprised of a one-night stay and rental of a Borgward vehicle for 24 hours.
