The National Stadium, nicknamed the Bird's Nest, is one of the most iconic legacies from China's first Olympic Games. In 2008, a spectacular opening ceremony wowed the world. In 2022, it will stage the Games' opening and closing ceremonies. [Photo provided to Chinaculture.org]

There is less than a year to go before the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. They are located in Beijing's downtown, its suburban Yanqing district and co-host Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.

Here, we take a look at some of the venues, as well as the Olympic Villages that the athletes will call home during their stay in China.
