China Life Insurance reports premium income growth in 2020

BEIJING - China Life Insurance Company Limited, one of the country's biggest insurers, posted premium income growth in 2020.

The company's premium income totaled approximately 604.67 billion yuan ($92.49 billion) last year, up 7.9 percent year-on-year, said the insurer in a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

In breakdown, its premium income from life insurance, health insurance and accident insurance schemes rose 7.6 percent, 9.6 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively.

The insurer's net profit attributable to shareholders topped 50.26 billion yuan in 2020.
