Top talent to be roped in for Hainan FTP

Top experts from all over the world will be recruited for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port in Hainan province, officials said during a news conference in Haikou, capital of Hainan. The first three positions for which global recruitments will be made are the chiefs and legal representatives for the tourism promotion bureau in Sanya, the development bureau of the bonded port area in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, and a logistics company under the China Hainan Rubber Industry Group Co Ltd. Hongqi sales rise 178%in first two months

Hongqi, a car brand under China's leading automaker FAW Group Co Ltd, sold over 45,500 vehicles during the first two months of this year, up 178 percent on a yearly basis. According to FAW Group, the production and marketing of its new energy vehicles will be prioritized this year.

Hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck

Beiben Trucks Group Co Ltd, a Chinese heavy-duty truck producer, has launched a new vehicle powered by 100-kilowatt hydrogen fuel cells. The truck, to be used as a street sweeper, rolled off the production line this week in Beiben's plant in the city of Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The vehicle's hydrogen storage cylinders use proton-exchange membrane fuel cells independently developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It can work in extremely cold conditions of -30 C. The company said it will develop a series of hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks used for multiple purposes.
