The cherry trees in Donghu Lake are now in their best state for viewing.
It is a must-visit spot for spring outings in the city, and shows a different scene from last year, when the city was hit hardest by the COVID-19 outbreak. Parks were totally empty.
Now, Wuhan's cherry blossom festival is welcoming locals and people from other places. It also welcomes heroes who contributed to defeating the coronavirus in Wuhan. More than 40,000 nurses and doctors from Wuhan and other places have visited to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Activities will be held during the festival, including a hanfu garden tour and exhibitions. The park has been open daily until 10 pm since March 3, and the festival is scheduled to run through early April.
