2,394 products get GI tag in China

China approved 2,394 geographical indication products by the end of January, said the National Intellectual Property Administration. GI is a type of intellectual property that indicates the geographical origin, reputation and other characteristics of a product.

Cargo throughput increases at ports

Robust growth was seen in cargo throughput at Chinese ports in January, according to the Ministry of Transport. Cargo throughput at ports rose 17.4 percent on a yearly basis to 1.29 billion metric tons.
