BEIJING - A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit the Loyalty Islands in the Pacific at 9:19 pm Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.05 degrees south latitude and 171.50 degrees east longitude.
The quake struck at a depth of about 10 km.
