Palace Museum hosts exhibition on ruyi

As the Year of the Ox approaches, the Shenwu Gate Exhibition Hall of the Palace Museum hosts Auspiciousness: Ruyi at the Palace Museum, which  opens to the public today. The exhibition will run until May 9.

The Palace Museum houses more than 2,000 ruyi, or carved decorative objects, from the Ming and Qing dynasties that are made of jade, bamboo, metal, dental bones and porcelain. A selection of 158 pieces or sets will be displayed for this exhibition.
