6 Chinese citizens die in expressway crash
Six Chinese nationals were confirmed dead and four others wounded in a road accident at an expressway exit ramp in South Korea's southern region on Monday, according to the Chinese embassy in South Korea. The crash occurred when a commercial vehicle carrying 12 people overturned at 8:20 am local time at the exit ramp in the South Sejong section of the Dangjin-Yeongdeok Expressway, nearly 120 kilometers south of the South Korean capital Seoul. Four other Chinese and one South Korean were injured in the tragedy. Among the wounded, two reportedly suffered serious injuries. The cause was still under investigation.

Govt spends big to save pandemic-hit economy
The nation of 1.3 billion unveiled a massive spending plan focused on healthcare and infrastructure on Monday, as the government sought to boost a coronavirus-ravaged economy on course for its biggest annual contraction on record. The planned expenditure of $30.6 billion on health and well-being schemes was more than double the equivalent outlay in the previous budget. It included $4.8 billion for the country's ambitious COVID-19 immunization drive, with plans to vaccinate 300 million by July.
