Food trucks help lighten the mood at quarantined neighborhoods


"Volunteers will line up while maintaining social distancing, fetch the ordered food from the front desk of the truck before making payments online. Those who aren't able to pay online can deposit the cash in a cup," she said.
"We also offer free breakfast for volunteers. The service will last until the quarantine ends."
Protective measures have been well-rounded as well. Besides providing the food truck workers with aprons, gloves and caps, the truck is also disinfected regularly.
According to Ru, meal sets offered by other delivery agencies are also available for quarantined residents.
"We are grateful for the convenience this food truck service has provided. It has certainly helped relieve our anxieties," said Yu Kai, 27, a volunteer in the neighborhood.
