Xinjiang port sees record freight trains
The number of China-Europe freight trains traveling via Horgos Port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region reached a record high of 4,722 last year, local Customs officials said on Tuesday. The volume of goods transported through the port in 2020 reached 3.68 million metric tons, worth nearly $26.44 billion, a new record, according to the port.
Service centers to solve IPR issues soon
China is planning to establish 25 service centers to provide fast responses to intellectual property rights (IPR) issues, the country's IPR authorities announced on Tuesday. The China National Intellectual Property Administration said it recently approved three fast IPR service centers in three counties. The centers aim to provide county-level industry clusters with faster pre-review processes and rights protection on IPR issues.
