Used car sales see double-digit growth
China's used car sales scored a four-month streak of double-digit expansion in November as the recovery of the domestic market sped up and demand further increased, official data showed. More than 1.57 million used cars were traded last month, up 13.7 percent on a yearly basis, marking the fourth consecutive month of double-digit growth, according to the Ministry of Commerce. During the first 11 months of the year, over 12.63 million secondhand cars were sold, down by 4.6 percent on a yearly basis. The decline was narrowed by 15 percentage points from the first half of the year, said the ministry.
Tarim oilfield's output to cross 30m tons
The Tarim oilfield of China National Petroleum Corp, or PetroChina, China's largest oil and gas producer, said on Monday that its 2020 output will surpass 30 million metric tons of oil equivalent. Located in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Tarim Basin is a major petroliferous basin in China and one of the most difficult to explore due to its harsh ground environment and complicated underground conditions. According to the company's development plan, the Tarim Oilfield is expected to further lift its output to 40 million tons of oil equivalent by 2025 and 50 million tons by 2035. In the past 31 years, the company developed and built 32 oil and gas fields, with the total output exceeding 400 million tons of oil equivalent.
Jiangxi sees 14.9% uptick in foreign trade
Foreign trade in East China's Jiangxi province rose 14.9 percent to 366.3 billion yuan ($56 billion) in the first 11 months of this year, expanding nearly 4.4 percent from last year's total, according to Nanchang Customs. During the period, the province's exports and imports were both dominated by mechanical and electrical products. Among such commodities, there was a fivefold jump in the exports of portable computers.
