Yulin promotes its cultural industry

Yulin, a city with rich oil, coal and natural gas resources in northern Shaanxi province, Northwest China, is also paying great attention to promoting its cultural industry in order to develop its economy in multiple directions.

As part of that effort, the 2020 Investment Promotion Meeting for Yulin Cultural Industry (IPMYCI) signing ceremony was held on Dec 18 in Xi'an, capital city of Shaanxi province, and 24 projects were signed with a total investment value of 4.86 billion yuan ($743.58 million).

With the theme of "cultural empowerment, industry leading and co-creating the future", the meeting aimed - through the construction of a cultural industry exchange and cooperation platform - to actively promote Yulin's cultural industry development strategy, resource advantages, industrial foundation, major projects, preferential policies and business environment, in order to promote the integration of cultural resources, capital, talents, technology and other market elements and boost Yulin's high-quality development, said Li Chunlin, deputy secretary of municipal Party committee and mayor of Yulin city.

2020 Investment Promotion Meeting for Yulin Cultural Industry is held on Dec 18 in Xi'an.

At the meeting, more than 10 departments and enterprises, including Yulin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Yulin Yanglaoda Travel Agency, announced cultural and tourism industry investment promotion projects, including boutique tourism routes, cultural and creative industrial parks, and new scenic spots.

At the signing ceremony, more than 10 units including Yulin High-tech Zone Management Committee, Shenmu Cultural Tourism Group and local Yulin enterprises signed contracts with more than 20 enterprises from Beijing, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu, and Inner Mongolia. A total of 24 cultural projects were agreed, with a total investment of 4.86 billion yuan.
