Driverless green car output starts in Jinan
An automobile manufacturing base in Jinan, Shandong province, has officially begun production of 5G-based, driverless new energy vehicles for commercial use. Built by China Construction Electric Power Construction Co Ltd, the base is spread over an area of 130,000 square meters and capable of producing 100,000 smart NEVs every year in the first phase.
IATA accolade for China Southern
China Southern Airlines has become the first carrier in Asia and the third in the world to get the prestigious International Air Transport Association Resolution 753 Network Compliance Certification. The resolution enables the carrier to track every piece of baggage from the start of a journey till its end. The company's tracking network covers 48 major hubs worldwide including Guangzhou, Daxing in Beijing, Los Angeles and London.
Huawei to set up new unit in France
Huawei is setting up its first manufacturing plant in Europe in France, the Chinese telecoms firm said in a statement on Thursday. The plant is being set up with an investment of 200 million euros ($245 million), and it will initially create 300 jobs and over 500 jobs in the long term. It aims to produce 1 billion euros worth of mobile network technology solutions for Huawei's European customers every year, said the statement.
