A powerful winter storm delivered heavy snow across the Northeast on Wednesday into Thursday, leaving New York, New Jersey, New England, Pennsylvania and Virginia blanketed in snow. Forecasts said the winter storm would continue to wallop Boston and other parts of the New England region before heading out to sea around nightfall.
