Chinese online education startup VIPThink, which mainly helps improve children's mathematics thinking ability, reached a strategic cooperation with Tsinghua University Press to publish a series of books on mathematical thinking.

The new series of books aims to offer professional teaching materials to enlighten thinking and logic ability for children aged between two and 12 years old, according to the two parties.

"Mathematics is the queen of science. Mathematics enlightenment education is of great strategic significance to China," said Yu Dachuan, co-founder and president of VIPThink.

"We hope to lay a good foundation in mathematics for children in their childhood and form their mathematical thinking ability, which further lays a good quality foundation for the cultivation of scientific and technological talents in the future," he said.

Yu added that Tsinghua University is the ultimate dream of children who love mathematics and both VIPThink and Tsinghua University are committed to cultivating the best mathematics and science talents in the country.

According to VIPThink, the company has offered its mathematical thinking courses to 250,000 students across the world. Last month, it raised $180 million in its series C round of fundraising.
