Bay Area transaction center begins trial operations

The GH&M Greater Bay Area International Energy Transaction Center Ltd announced commencement of trial operations after a year's preparation on Friday.

From 9 am to 12 pm, over 50 users registered on the transaction center. Transaction value exceeded 870 million yuan ($132.9 million) during the same period.

According to the transaction center, it supports spot trades for over 10 kinds of products, including crude oil, gas, coal, fuel oil and many others. It aims at building an international energy trading center to promote global cooperation and innovation in the energy sector.

The transaction center was launched on Nov 11 in 2019.
