Several injured after car rams into pedestrians in Germany's Trier

BERLIN -- Several people were injured on Tuesday after a car rammed into a pedestrian zone in the western German city of Trier, according to local police.
The Trier Police said in a tweet that officers are on the site together with emergency services, and asked citizens to avoid the area.
The car was stopped and the driver was arrested, a police spokesperson said.
The motive behind the incident was not immediately known.
