Project to be landmark of Langfang's progress

China Fortune Land Development wants to use a new commercial complex project to help upgrade the business environment of Langfang in Hebei province, where the company is headquartered.
CFLD held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for the project in Langfang's Jianta area on Nov 12. The complex takes cues from commercial landmarks in large cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. It will integrate offices, business services, cultural creativity, leisure and entertainment and also living space, according to CFLD.
Executives from CFLD said the complex aims to become a high-standard business area in the north of downtown Langfang. It will also help the city develop into a pilot area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated development program.
The project boasts a location about 25 kilometers from Beijing Daxing International Airport and 2.4 km from Langfang city government offices, they said.
It designed a parking structure which connects horizontally to each floor of the complex's shopping center, providing an innovative solution to traffic problems in the city.
Representatives of the project said Langfang is at the core of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated development region and the complex is located in the heart of urban Langfang.
The project will be home to several modern service companies, involving finance and commerce, which can be useful for promoting the high-quality development of Langfang's regional economy, CFLD executives said.
With further integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and the operation of Beijing Daxing International Airport, Langfang has seen an accelerated pace in the gathering of professionals, capital, technologies and industries. CFLD has taken opportunities brought by this and fueled Langfang's high-quality growth.
Langfang plans to develop several industries that are dependent on the Daxing airport, like logistics, manufacturing and medicine. That, in turn, needs projects like CFLD's commercial complex, the company's representatives said.
The company used the public-private partnership model to build and develop Gu'an New Industry City in Hebei 18 years ago. Gu'an, an agricultural county near Langfang, has grown into a new base for technological innovation in Hebei province.
CFLD also developed similar industry cities in Dachang and Bazhou, which are administered by Langfang.
Based on the industry cities and the commercial complex, CFLD will give a new impetus to regional development in Langfang, insiders said.
