Over 500 entrepreneurs gather in Tianjin to envision bright development design

The proposals for the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and the long-range goals for the year 2035, which were adopted by the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, have provided the country with a social and economic direction and have been receiving responses from provinces and cities, including Tianjin.
On Nov 11, Tianjin held the China Entrepreneurs Conference, gathering more than 500 leading entrepreneurs from across the country to exchange their visions and plans for the city's future development.
Li Hongzhong, secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, said: “Improving our economic and social development level and core competitiveness requires a large number of world-class companies and entrepreneurs, and it will in turn serve as an opportunity to create more (companies and entrepreneurs).”
Tianjin will continue to serve companies, addressing their difficulties in starting up and developing in the city and improving the business environment through the full implementation of policy measures, he added.
Zhang Yong, CEO of Alibaba Group, said the company has benefited from the city's support and the way it's embraced the digital economy. At this year’s World Intelligence Congress, held in June in the port metropolis, Alibaba signed strategic cooperation agreements with the city and now, only a few months later, large projects have witnessed a fast implementation. Alibaba has officially opened a center which marks a new milestone for the e-commerce giant’s development in Tianjin.
Originally from Tianjin, China Communications Construction Group has been deeply engaged in the city for 123 years and operates in more than 150 countries around the world. It will actively integrate into the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and contribute to Tianjin's high-quality development, said its chairman Wang Tongzhou.
Having grown in Tianjin for over a decade, Li Dongsheng, president of TCL Group, expressed his confidence and expectations for Tianjin's future development. “As the economic center of the Bohai Sea region, Tianjin is bound to usher in new development as the country proposes to form a domestic and international ‘dual circulation’ model,” Li said.
“Tianjin has been devoted to developing the economy and striving to create a stable, fair, transparent, and predictable business environment for various market players. We have experienced the warm-heartedness of government services, and benefited from the implementation of favorable policies and measures.”
The continuous investment towards improving infrastructure, and the informatization of public services, internet applications, communication infrastructure and international port and shipping facilities have also laid the foundations for bolstering the city’s development.
