President ousted in impeachment vote
Peru's Congress voted on Monday to impeach and oust President Martin Vizcarra over allegations he took kickbacks from developers while serving as a regional governor in 2014. After an impeachment trial that lasted nearly eight hours, the motion to remove the popular president was approved by 105 votes to 19, with four abstentions-far exceeding the 87 votes needed to impeach.

Zelensky, officials test positive for COVID-19
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and will be working in self-isolation while being treated. "There are no lucky people in the world for whom COVID-19 does not pose a threat," Zelensky tweeted. "However, I feel good. I promise to isolate myself and I continue to work." Meanwhile, the finance minister, the defense minister and Zelensky's top aide were also reported to be infected. On Sunday, Ukraine reported 8,867 new cases of infection and 115 deaths.
