With the theme of "cultivating new opportunities, seeking new chapters, creating a new situation, and helping to build a safe and controllable automobile industry chain", the conference - which is staged under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Machinery Industry, and is jointly hosted by the China Automobile Industry Association and the Xi'an municipal People's government - attracted experts and scholars from the automobile field and hundreds of key enterprises in the automobile supply chain field from all over the country. They all came to discuss the safe construction of the automobile industry supply chain and to help the development of Xi'an's automobile industry.

Luo Junmin, deputy secretary-general of China Automobile Industry Association, makes a speech at the conference.

According to Luo Junmin, deputy secretary-general of the China Automobile Industry Association, the "China Automobile Supply Chain Conference" is the authoritative top grand meeting of the automobile supply chain industry in China's automobile industry. Its predecessor, the "China Auto Parts Industry Annual Meeting and Summit Forum", was successfully held 17 times, and had an increasingly wide influence in the automobile industry. It played a vital role in consolidating the strength of the automobile and parts industry at home and abroad and promoting the sustainable development of the automobile industry.

In one of the supply chain conference's highlights, the China Automobile Industry Association officially released the development report into China's auto parts industry (2019-2020) on the first day of the two-day conference.

In order to help the domestic mainstream parts enterprises better understand Xi'an and invest in Xi'an, a series of investment promotion activities such as negotiations and investigations were held during the conference.

Ma Xianping, deputy mayor of Xi'an, said that in recent years, the automobile industry in Xi'an has maintained rapid growth, with 86 automobile production enterprises above designated scale and about 85,000 employees. In 2017, the output value of the automobile manufacturing industry reached 100 billion yuan for the first time, making it the first 100 billion yuan level industry in Xi'an.

It is estimated that by 2022, the city's automobile production capacity will reach 2 million vehicles, and its industrial output value will reach more than 150 billion yuan. The automobile industry has become the "engine" of high-quality economic development in Xi'an.

This is of great practical significance in terms of the continuous expansion and opening-up of the automobile industry supply chain, the promotion of cooperation and coordination, and the acceleration of high-quality development. This is the first time that Xi'an has been selected as the venue of the China Automobile Supply Chain Conference, and it is sure to make the automobile industry become an important ingredient in accelerating the evolution of Xi'an into an advanced manufacturing city and a powerful economic engine, and to boost the high-quality development of the city.
