W Chengdu opens in Southwest China's Sichuan province on Saturday. According to the 297-room hotel, it boasts a modern style which has been intermingled with more traditional cultural elements, and will be an ideal place for lovers of music and interactive modern art. The hotel's Zing restaurant is themed around music and offers Southeast Asian and Sichuan dishes. The hotel's Yao Yen Chinese restaurant fuses traditional Cantonese dishes with a local, contemporary finesse.
Pullman Resort Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province, which opened in late September, is the 40th member of the Pullman hotel network in China. The hotel is located in the heart of Sunac Xishuangbanna Resort, an 880,000-square-meter cultural and tourist destination with a reputation as one of the largest lifestyle, leisure, tourism and cultural resorts in Southwest China.
CULINARY DELIGHTS
Sofitel is celebrating the fall harvest with the return of Sofitel Wine Days, an interpretation of French gastronomy, from Sept 30 to Oct 31, across Sofitel hotels in China. The event, at selected Sofitel properties, features a number of handpicked wines including collections from French wine-maker Gerard Bertrand.
The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin, in cooperation with Italian luxury brand Etro, has introduced a new afternoon tea inspired by classic cartoon mouse Jerry from the series Tom& Jerry. The afternoon tea, offered in the hotel's lobby lounge, includes a selection of desserts and will bring childlike joy to guests, according to the hotel. The afternoon tea is available until the end of November.
