Huge milk tofu sets a record in Inner Mongolia

Forty-five herdsman in Saikhantal in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, managed to make a piece of milk tofu recently using 5,000 kilograms of fresh milk. It was the largest slab of tofu ever in China, according to Shanghai China Records.

The milk tofu, 80 centimeters wide 180 cm long, weighed 415 kilograms, the company said on Monday.

Milk tofu is a traditional dairy product of the Mongolian ethnic minority. In Saikhantal, 40 percent of the population works in the dairy industry, which is responsible for 30 percent of every household's income.
