Tianjin Municipal Trade Union facilitates targeted poverty alleviation efforts

Tianjin Municipal Trade Union facilitates the city’s efforts in national poverty alleviation and makes sure that measures being taken are effective.

It collects information on the needs of impoverished villages in less developed regions in advance so that the city can place the help exactly where it is needed.

For example, the union facilitates the sales of Xinjiang products worth 2.5 million yuan($359,750) and is helping rebuild homes for over 319 residents in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. It also allocates funds to build schools and hospitals.
