Greek PM announces cabinet reshuffle for effective management

ATHENS - Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis proceeded to a cabinet reshuffle aiming at effective management in the areas of finance, growth, labor, health and the environment, government spokesperson Stelios Petsas announced on Tuesday in a televised statement on national broadcaster ERT.

Theodoros Skylakakis, who was serving as deputy finance minister, was appointed as Alternate Finance Minister responsible for fiscal policy. Nikos Papathanasis was also being promoted to Alternate from Deputy Minister in charge of investments and private-public partnerships.

Athens University professor Panos Tsakloglou was appointed as Deputy Labor and Social Affairs Minister, while MP Zoi Rapti becomes Deputy to the Health Ministry, in charge of mental health.

MP Nikolaos Tagaras was appointed as Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, responsible for Environmental Protection issues.

The new cabinet is expected to be sworn in on Wednesday.
