As a result of recent heavy rainfall in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the volume of Hukou Waterfall in Jixian county, Shanxi province, has risen significantly.

Located in the border area between Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Hukou Waterfall is the second-largest in China and the largest on the Yellow River.

The waterfall saw its largest volume since the flood season on Saturday, with more than 2,700 cubic meters per second.

The roaring waterfall provides a spectacular scene for tourists to view rushing water cascading over the rocks on the banks.
