Tianjin Night Life Festival kicks off
The municipal government of Tianjin kicked off the Tianjin Night Life Festival on July 18 as part of efforts to boost consumption.
Officials announced at a news conference on July 17 that the festival will comprise some 100 special activities taking place in business communities, shopping malls and tourism spots.
More than 10 themes, including farmyard, fresh food, container night market, will be featured during the festival, which will run for two months.
Shopping malls including Tianjin Joycity and Isetan will offer special night discounts to customers.
The Wudadao Culture Tourist Area in Heping district and the Italian-style Tourist Street in Hebei district will offer liquor and wine experiences that are accompanied by music.
Some bookstores in the port city will also launch night reading clubs, while Jinwan Plaza in Heping district will build opera-themed cultural blocks and the Italian-style Street will host Western art salons.
The Haihe River Cruise will take advantage of the 3rd Haihe Cultural Tourism Festival, which is taking place during the night life festival, to host crosstalk shows, while Fantawild World and Tianjin Happy Valley will introduce night shows.
