China’s Optics Valley launches Facebook, Twitter pages

The Optics Valley is also known as Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Founded in 1988, the development zone was one of the first national new-tech zones and the second national innovation demonstration zone. It was also named the China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Wuhan Area.
It was the birthplace of China’s first practical optical fiber. Now, it agglomerates industries including optoelectronic information, health, and smart manufacturing.
With a planned area of 518 square kilometers, the zone encompasses eight industrial parks.
There are nearly 100 institutes of higher education and research, with hundreds of thousands of professional and technical personnel and university students.
The zone has a population of around 2 million, with an average age of just 31, making it a place of energy and great innovation.
It boasts beautiful landscapes with lush mountains and lucid waters, with natural green space taking up around 54 percent of the total area.
All in all, it is perfect for doing business and settling down.
The Facebook and Twitter pages of the Optics Valley of China will tell you more stories about the area.
