New tour bus commemorates founding of the CPC

Shanghai has launched a special tour bus to honor the establishment of the Communist Party of China, which celebrated its 99th anniversary on July 1.

The bus, which is decorated with images of the Party emblem and Shanghai landmark buildings, passes through a number of revolutionary sites, including the sites of the first and second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling and the Monument to the People's Heroes.

Co-launched by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Transport and Shanghai Jiushi Bus Group, the bus service aims to become one of the city's "name cards" for public transportation, said the commission.
