Prosecutor probing Giuliani forced out
A standoff over the independence of one of the most important prosecutor's offices in the United States ended on Saturday when Geoffrey Berman agreed to step down as US Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The office had been investigating US President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudolph Giuliani. Deputy US Attorney Audrey Strauss, would become Acting US Attorney until a permanent replacement is installed.

Marching in front of the Greek parliament, thousands of protesters on Saturday raised banners with slogans such as "Refugee lives matter," requesting better care for refugees on the occasion of World Refugee Day. The protests denounced the dire conditions at overflowing refugee reception centers in Greece, and the policy for refugees in Europe as a whole.
