Situated in the scenic, mountainous western Zhejiang province, Quzhou has become known as a pioneer and practitioner of the "Two Mountains" theory – its lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.

With their development based on "beautiful village" green policies, many communities in this city area are striving to implement a trinity of eco-tourism, green cultivation and smart villages.

Quzhou has planned to start 90 key construction projects and 12 new-era beautiful countryside demonstration village projects this year. Liuchunhu Scenic Area in Longyou county is particularly worthy of mention.

With the first batch of alpine rhododendrons blossoming in early summer this year, Jack Ma Yun, founder of e-commerce heavyweight Alibaba, got a cable-car to the top of Liuchunhu Mountain, more than 1,000 meters above sea level. He looked down over Quzhou and was very impressed by the beautiful scenery.

As the co-chairman of an ecological conservation foundation, Ma came to Quzhou to attend the signing ceremony of the scenic area’s mountain-sports town project, which is one of the projects in "Virtuous Quzhou's" poetic and charming scenic belt.

In summer, the climate of Liuchunhu Mountain is cool and pleasant, which makes the area an ideal place for traveling and summer vacations. In winter, it becomes a world of ice and snow, ideal for various winter sports.
