Hubei city donates food, anti-epidemic materials to Suifenhe

Starting from April 19, five large-sized trailers loaded with donations from Hanchuan city in Xiaogan, Central China's Hubei province, arrived in Suifenhe city in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Suifenhe, a county-level city with fewer than 70,000 residents, became the front line of the country's defense against a surge in imported COVID-19 cases in recent days.
More than 13,000 boxes of bread and other food donations with a total value of 800,000 yuan ($113,000) will be distributed to front lines against the disease and the vulnerable. In addition, Hanchuan municipal Party committee and municipal government also donated 700,000 yuan worth of medical anti-epidemic materials, showing the gratitude from people in Hubei for Heilongjiang's earlier help.
Since Jan 27, Heilongjiang province has mobilized a total of eight batches of 1,554 medical workers to help Wuhan and Xiaogan in Hubei province against COVID-19. The northeastern province also allocated 3,000 tons of rice and other materials to support Hubei.
