Wuhan restarts: Airport sees 11,714 passenger trips on 1st resumption day

Wuhan Tianhe Airport saw 11,714 passenger trips on the first day of resumption on Wednesday, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

In all, 107 flights left Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, accounting for 7,119 passenger trips and 114 flights arrived in the city, accounting for 4,595 passenger trips.

The top three airlines connecting Wuhan and the outside included China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, operating 52.9 percent of flights coming from and to the city.

The most frequently visited city by flights from Wuhan was Chengdu in Southwest China's Sichuan province, followed by Haikou in South China's Hainan province and Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province, becoming the top three destinations of about 20.6 percent of flights from Wuhan.

Flights arriving at Wuhan were mainly from Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong province, Chengdu in Southwest China's Sichuan province and Haikou, serving about 22.8 percent of travelers to Wuhan.

The first outbound flight from Wuhan was China Eastern Airlines' MU2527, flying to Sanya in Hainan province.

The first inbound flight to Wuhan was Xiamen Airlines' MF8095, coming from Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province.
