CCTV news host Zhu Guangquan jointly hosted a special show with livestreaming celebrity Li Jiaqi on Taobao Live on April 6 to help boost the sales of enterprises in Hubei province that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show featured 16 products, including snacks and agricultural goods, from cities in Hubei province, including Wuhan, Xiaogan, Honghu and Yichang.

The two-hour show attracted 15.45 million visitors and about 660,000 orders, generating a total turnover of about 23 million yuan ($3.25 million).

This was the second time that Li held a livestream to promote Hubei products. His first show on March 26 drew over 13.5 million people.

"I hope people will pay attention, support and participate in public welfare. My team and I will continue with such efforts," Li said.
