Cook seen crying in viral video reveals the reason

A video showing a cook crying at the stairwell recently went viral in China, and China Daily spoke with cook in an exclusive interview on Saturday.

The cook surnamed Pan said he was crying because he was tired, not because of any ill-treatment. He works at the Minyijie Police Station in Jianghan district of Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, the center of the COVID-19.

"I have worked here for 18 years, and if they didn't treat me well, I wouldn't work here so long and would not ask my wife and son to help me here," Pan said.

The policemen have been working hard recently, and Pan said he does his best to cook good food for them, improving their immunity.
