China, Myanmar start shooting documentary

KUNMING - China and Myanmar have started shooting a documentary on the ecological environment of the two countries.

The film, "Drink From the Same River," will record the harmonious coexistence of the residents and wild animals along the Grand Yingjiang, Ruili and Irrawaddy rivers, according to the publicity department of the Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The Grand Yingjiang and the Ruili in the province are upstream tributaries of the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar.

Shooting started in Mandalay of Myanmar on Saturday.

The film will display the cultural and landscape character of the regions along the rivers, and via the film, the audience will see the solid friendship between the people of China and Myanmar, according to the department.

The documentary is co-produced by Dehong publicity department, Shwe Than Lwin Media Company (Sky Net) of Myanmar and Yunnan Media Group.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Myanmar.
