First catch fetches record price as Chagan Lake fishing festival opens

The 18th Chagan Lake Fishing and Hunting Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off on the frozen Chagan Lake in Songyuan in Northeast China's Jilin province on Saturday.

The price for the first catch this year broke the record at auction at 2.96 million yuan ($424,088) at the opening ceremony.
