Beijing embroidery, also known as jingxiu, gongxiu or gongtingxiu (the palace embroidery) in Chinese, glitters in the modern era with the spirit of craftsmanship.
Yu Jing, who started to learn and create Beijing embroidery in 2004, is fascinated by the craftsmanship and opened a Beijing embroidery studio in cooperation with a garment company in 2017.
With about 15 years of experience, Yu Jing designs and creates Beijing embroidery together with technician Wei Miao.
They hope to contribute to the inheritance and development of Beijing embroidery, and also design some more fashionable and practical works, catering to more modern tastes.
