Exhibition explores the 'concrete jungle'

Lin added it was the city at present that inspired him. He liberated the painting from the three-dimensional image, expressed it in a simple form, and made it more visually impactful.

Wang Tao, curator of the exhibition, said these works are abstract in form and few in color; the city's appearance is simplified to plain symbols and interpreted with geometric figures to show the homogeneity of each city's face. These stereotypical city faces give the viewer a sense of indifference and loneliness that cannot be avoided, and at the same time make people feel more pronounced love, hate, persistence, or hesitation.
