Despite technological developments, thousands of UK homes still watch black and white TV.
Recent figures published by the country's TV Licensing authorities revealed that at the end of September, 6,586 black and white licences had been sold this year.
A colour TV licence costs £154.50 a year, or £52 for a black and white set.
