HONG KONG - Rioters went on a wrecking spree Tuesday evening, causing extensive damages to metro stations across Hong Kong.
Rioters broke into stations that were already closed, vandalized facilities inside, set fires in control rooms, smashed trains on the platforms and threw objects onto the tracks.
University Station, Mong Kok Station, Mong Kok East Station and Kowloon Tong Station were the most targeted.
The East Rail Line was suspended on Wednesday morning due to the damages.
