WASHINGTON - A small plane crashed into an apartment complex in suburban Atlanta, southeast US state of Georgia, on Wednesday morning, killing two people onboard, authorities said.

A Piper PA-28 crashed shortly after departure from the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport at around 10:30 am (1430 GMT) local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
