Guangxi farmers welcome persimmon harvest

Farmers are embracing the October persimmon harvest in Gongcheng Yao autonomous county, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Every year, local people are busy drying persimmon inside or outside their yard, creating a quintessential scene of the harvest season.

Known as a famous persimmon production base in Guangxi, the plantation area of the county has reached 13,000 hectares (19.58 mu) with an annual production of 520,000 tons sold at home and abroad.
