Zhang Hongkai Sang at the 2019 Global CSR Summit

Zhang Hongkai, president of the Cell Rehabilitation Association, attended the 2019 Conference on the Dignity of Rural Women and Social Responsibility of Global Corporations organized by the Global CSR Foundation in partnership with African Views Organization on Oct 15 in New York.

Aside from his career in the field of cell biology, Zhang also has a gift for singing. He has performed on several TV programs in China. At the meeting, he sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.

"We know Dr. Zhang sings very well and is a star on stage. That is why we invited him to lead the audience in the song," said Jing Zhao Cesarone, executive chairwoman of the summit, CEO of Global CSR Foundation.

The summit took place in the Nelson Mandela Conference Room of the Permanent Observer Mission of the African Union to the United Nations. The topic discussed was how private companies and public sectors could take on social responsibilities by following the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

"A company needs to seek public recognition from society to become competitive and influential. To achieve public acknowledgment, a company has to take on social responsibilities," said Zhang, who considered this his most significant lesson learned from the event.

Among his various titles, Zhang cherishes the most his position as the president of the International Healthy Cell Rehabilitation Association, known as the CRA. According to its website, the CRA "is a professional, scientific organization committed to the design, creation, and repair of human healthy cells and genes."

At CRA, Zhang has participated in numerous events and activities that brought him success. In 2014, Zhang partook in the release of autologous stem cell activators. 2015 witnessed his role in the release of the quantum energy hydrogen-rich water. In 2016, he joined in the release of telomere products. In 2017, he took part in the development of the quantum cell beauty instrument.

The next step of the CRA is to continue its work on cell rehabilitation engineering and to contribute to the cellular health of humankind. Zhang firmly believes that the study of cytology, especially the stem cell treatments, has a bright future.

Zhang proposed the concept and theory of cellular medicine at the International Cellular Rehabilitation Association in 2014. He completed post-doctoral level research at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2016. Comparing his professional experiences in China and North America, Zhang suggests that experts of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine join hands on the medical studies of cellular medicine.
