Frozen river heralds early winter

As the lowest temperature in China's northernmost city Mohe in Heilongjiang province has dropped to -15 C, rivers in the city are beginning to freeze, about one week earlier than last year according to the local observatory.

Crystal-clear ice floats on the rivers, showing the city is entering the season of winter even there are still more than 20 days before Start of Winter, the 19th solar term of the year.
